Emily (エミリー)? is a minor character in Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!. She is one of the students who attends the Magic School.
Bio
Appearance
Emily is a teenager with orange eyes and long blonde hair pulled back into a braided ponytail. On the top of her head is an apricot bow, and her forelocks are curled. She has brown rimmed glasses. She wears her school uniform with black tights and magenta mary janes.
For the Grand Magic Festival in the movie, Emily wore a gold blouse with a white collar and off-white shawl held by a pink ribbon that has a yellow gem in the center. Around the navel is a brown belt and she wears a blue skirt with ruffles, and red ballerina shoes with a slight heel. Her orange hat is split on top for a pale beige flower design.
As an adult, Emily no longer wears her bow. She wears a brown blouse with orange accents, an orange plaid skirt, red tights, and brown boots.
Personality
Emily is easily startled and displays a meek personality. She is shy but friendly, and enjoys spending time with the others. She has a fear of heights, but gradually learns to overcome it. Her dream is to be a hairdresser and stylist.
Relationships
- Kay, Jun, Izayoi Liko, Asahina Mirai: Her classmates and friends. Emily gains confidence in herself through their help.
Etymology
"Emily" is an English name, probably chosen because of the English aesthetic the Magic School has.
History
According to Kyoto, she has failed her broom flying test, thus having to take supplementary lessons.
Emily meets Asahina Mirai for the first time, but is familiar with Liko, asking her why she needs supplementary lessons in the first place. She gets scared of Mofurun after Mofurun introduces herself. After this, Isaac-sensei turns a stamped paper into a butterfly and orders the students to catch it as their first lesson.MTPC04
During the lesson, Emily is scared while flying on a broom and then gets scared of a spider. As she runs away, one of the butterflies land on her face.
The group has to pass another test, boiling a kettle with magic, in a world full of ice and snow. The group passes due to Mirai introducing the Oshikura Manjū game to keep warm.MTPC05
The students have to learn how to conjure a shape out of water, and Emily manages to pass her test along with the other students.MTPC06
The student group goes to the Mermaid Village together, but are surprised by Gamettsu's attack.MTPC07
The Magic School students visit Mirai and Liko in No Magic World. They are shown around town and visit a shopping mall for the first time, and take Purikura photos together.MTPC16

Jun, Kay and Emily ask Mirai, Liko, Kotoha and Mofurun to help them with their school projects. Emily styles Kotoha's hair with her magic, and creates various hairstyles for practice before settling on twintails with flower decorations. She reveals her dream is to become a stylist.MTPC30
She participates in the pumpkin bird catching competition during Halloween. She uses a trick with her broomstick called Emily Spin to daze the pumpkin bird, although she ends up getting dizzy herself and is unable to catch the bird.MTPC38
