Cure Eclair (キュアエクレール)? is one of the four main Cures in Meitantei Pretty Cure!. She is a mysterious Cure who no one knows much about.
Bio
Appearance
As Cure Eclair, her hair turns light teal and is worn in a high ponytail split into two drilled sections, accented by gold four-point stars and a lime ombre near the end. Her bangs are parted at right with flowing strands and sidelocks, as well as two locks that coil around her head. Her droopy eyes are vermilion with pink heart flecks in the corners. On her right is a blue brim hat with white scalloped band and hem, accented by a lavender butterfly with an orange four-point star and gold trim and swirly pieces beside it. Jutting above are gold strands while below is a powder blue scalloped ruffle with gold trim. Her earrings are blue ribbons with diamonds that match the one on her head. She wears an upward pastel blue crop top with gold trim and white scalloped hem. Around her arms is a sky blue shawl with gold scallops and dots. On her collarbone is a pale blue ribbon and tie with gold trim and diamond, with a yellow layer beneath, resting on top of white scalloped fabric. On top is an orange brooch with swirly gold trim. Her wristbands are pale blue, frilly, and have a gold middle ring with blue nail polish. Her peplum is split, ruffly, lavender, and trimmed in gold. Her skirt is pale blue, scalloped, and made of two layers with the left open to reveal a ruffly white petticoat and their ends featuring gold four–point star dangles. On top is an orange four-point star with gold trim. Above her skirt is a light blue split cape that opens in front with gold trim and diamonds, accenting the dangles at the tips with the middle diamonds orange, at the back is a big blue rabbit-ear bow with scalloped ends accented by a white ruffle in the middle and an orange heart with gold trim. Jutting out of the cape is a big pastel cyan cloth that splits and has an undertone of lilac to pink. She also wears a pale blue stocking at left with gold trim and a four-point orange diamond with same trim, and teal Mary Janes with crisscrossed straps and butterfly bows in the back and darker soles.

- Yano Akane explains the key points about Cure Eclair's design. She aimed for a "mature and cute" vibe by placing butterfly motifs, which are very popular with adults, in various spots. She didn't think about design synergy with the other Pretty Cure; she considered Eclair entirely as a standalone character. So, Yano Akane designed Eclair with an exposed navel right from the very start, and the reason she only has one sock on is for a specific reason that will be revealed in the future. Yano Akane was originally thinking of a single ponytail for Eclair hairstyle, but if it was just hanging down her back, it would get completely hidden by her voluminous outfit. So Yano Akane split the ponytail in two, making the hair's silhouette easy to see even from the front. Eclair's was also initially meant to have her face completely hidden, so the hat was originally big enough to cover her face. Once it was decided to show her face later on, Yano Akane shrank the hat down to its current size.[2]
