Am I Going Viral!? (私、バズっちゃってる！？ Watashi, Bazucchatteru!?)? is the 2nd episode of Kimi to Idol Pretty Cure♪ and is the 1020th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
The Queen of KirakiLand, Pikarine, tells Uta about Team Chokkiri and their boss, Darkine. Meanwhile, Cure Idol is going viral on TV and social media as a "mysterious new idol".

- Uta meets Pikarine for the first time. She learns about Darkine, what happened to KirakiLand, and the purpose of the Kirarun Ribbons as well as being an Idol Pretty Cure.
- Higashinaka Mikoto, Shinbashi Wakaba, Sakaue Ruka, Fujimi-sensei, and Shigure Kokoro appear for the first time.
- The Idol Pretty Cure Research Club is established for the first time.
- Aokaze Nana appears for the first time and witnesses Idol battle the Makkuranda.
Synopsis
In Uta's bedroom, she witnesses her Idol Heart Brooch fly out of Purirun's bag. Both are mesmerized as a carry bag appears on Uta's hip to store the brooch. She dances and falls on her bed, believing it's a dream come true. She shows Purirun what it's like to please the crowd before they head downstairs. All of a sudden, Uta finds out that she has gone viral on television as Cure Idol and freaks out.
As Uta processes what happened, Hamori and Oto come upstairs. Uta hides Purirun and hears from her mother and sister that they love Idol. Uta starts to develop an ego while simultaneously trying to act natural. When Oto and Hamori leave, Purirun reveals she uploaded Idol's performance using the PreToy Camera so people could notice her.
Just then, Uta's brooch vibrates. Purirun realizes it's a call from the queen, so she uses her ribbon to contact her. As a result, a hologram of KirakiLand's ruler, Pikarine, appears. She introduces herself with a blinding radiance and claims that Uta is the great hope of KirakiLand. She explains KirakiLand was once a happy kingdom, only for a frightening being, Darkine, to appear and cut the Big Kirakira Ribbon, trapping everyone and Pikarine herself in crystals. Uta is devastated to hear this, and gasps when she's told she will bring light to the darkness.
Uta wants to save KirakiLand, but doesn't know where it is. For the time being, she has to protect the human world. Pikarine wants Purirun to put on the ribbon they obtained from Ema, which allows Purirun to do a crowd-pleasing move. They store the ribbon in the Kirarun Ribbon Book, which is where Kirarun Ribbons are put in order to save KirakiLand. Pikarine, however, has one more thing to address. She acknowledges that while Uta was fast asleep, Purirun uploaded her performance without permission, which is banned in KirakiLand's legend. As a result, Pikarine punishes Purirun by making her hair frizzy. Immediately regretting what she did, Purirun tries to delete the recordings, but it can't be undone. Uta is told to keep her identity a secret because nobody knows what Darkine will do. She promises to act with caution.
At nighttime, Purirun learns what school is like as Uta unwraps a package of fortune-telling gummies and she is going to school tomorrow. She gets a shooting star gummy and wonders if she'll become a star. The next day, school begins. Uta is happy to be in the same class as her friend Mikoto. Mikoto spots a girl, Shigure Kokoro, put up a poster featuring Idol on the wall, titled "Idol Pretty Cure Research Club". Kokoro approves her work and walks off. Mikoto turns ecstatic as she too admires Idol.
As homeroom begins, Uta is shocked and full of ego to be recognized, driven thanks to Purirun's compliments. However, the whole class stares at her in confusion. Uta awkwardly laughs and reminds Purirun beneath her desk that she can't be seen. To make up for her abrupt talking, Uta suggests they put a choir together to perform a song for the first-years' welcome party. Fujimi-sensei, the teacher, and the class approve, while another one of the students, Aokaze Nana, volunteers to play the piano. Everyone is amazed by her bravery. At lunchtime, Uta, Mikoto, Wakaba, and Ruka, want to eat with Nana. There, Uta learns Nana won a piano competition last year and her mother is a professional pianist. Just then, Wakaba remembers that there's a competition coming up soon and the girls talk about Idol. Uta acts smug again in response to all the praise she's receiving, forgetting she has to act natural, but the girls notice her behavior.
Meanwhile, at Team Chokkiri's hideout, Cutty watches Idol's performance. Zakkuri throws a dart on the board, only for him to miss. He is incredibly annoyed from what Cutty is listening to, but he simply claims he's "researching" Idol. Chokkirine brings up Idol defeating Cutty so easily that she's ashamed to tell Darkine. Zakkuri volunteers to attack, calling Cutty weak. Unfortunately, he can't leave because Cutty is taking yet another turn.
In the locker room, Uta sees Mikoto with a "Smile!" paddle fan. Mikoto has joined the Idol Pretty Cure Research Club and expresses how much energy Idol's song gives her. She leaves with Purirun sensing her Kirakira. Mikoto's compliments make Uta so full of herself that she compares herself to idols on television and that she should write an autograph. Meanwhile, Cutty targets Mikoto, who waves her sign while singing, and turns her into a Makkuranda based on her paddle fan and light stick. Purirun senses this, sparking Uta's enthusiasm to shine as an Idol Pretty Cure once more. As she heads off, Nana watches. Confronting Cutty, Uta confidently transforms into Idol.
Purirun cheers for Idol, the latter showing off as she and the Makkuranda run towards and fight each other. Idol confidently dodges and easily kicks the monster down, much to Cutty's shock. However, when Purirun snaps photos of Idol posing in the midst of the battle, Cutty mentions it's not the time to be playing around. The Makkuranda leaps into the air and slashes at Idol. She barely dodges it and the lasers nearly hitting her as well as Nana, who runs to the scene. Idol eventually can't keep up with the attacks, and is hit by the Makkuranda. Purirun flies towards her as she hits the ground. Cutty taunts her that she is too dependent on Idol and that she picked the wrong recruit. Now, the world is about to be in pitch-black darkness.
Purirun feels guilty, shedding a tear. However, Idol stands up for her while focusing at the task at hand. Purirun and Cutty are speechless. Idol hugs Purirun and apologizes, comforting her. She runs away from the Makkuranda's attacks, and learns Mikoto is trapped, so she is determined to save her. Leaping in the air, she uses Idol Fist Touch so Mikoto can regain her Kirakira and the Makkuranda can be knocked down. She then purifies the monster with Idol Smiling, freeing Mikoto and gaining the yellow Kirarun Ribbon, also allowing Purirun to do another crowd-pleasing move.
WIth the damage reverted, Nana can't believe what she is seeing, while Cutty realizes he was singing to Idol's song. Mikoto wakes up, leaning against the wall. She's surprised to see Idol standing before her, who makes it clear that this isn't a dream. She is beyond grateful to receive Mikoto's support, making Mikoto blush and hide behind her sign. Idol smiles at her before taking her leave. At the Heart Tree, Idol finally understands that she is the savior who brings light to the darkness, and she will make it "Kirakilala♪". She comes to the conclusion that she is truly an Idol Pretty Cure.
