Synopsis

As Chongire Yaraneeda fights the Pretty Cures, Butler pours the vessel of Motivation Power into the Fool's Casket. Just before it is filled, Cure Summer smashes the vessel. The Yaraneeda strikes Summer to the ground, and she is knocked unconscious and de-transforms. Elda saves her by pressing a button that opens a secret trapdoor, and the other Cures follow. Elda claims she only did it to avoid cleaning up the mess.

Hiding in a castle storeroom, Laura tells the girls the story of the Witch of Delays, who was born to destroy the world. Injured after a battle with humans, the Witch was washed up in a cave, where she was nursed back to health by a kind girl named Aunete. Aunete gave her a ring made from an anemone flower. However, the Witch remembered her task, attacking Aunete's home town. In response, the Mermaid Queen sent an emissary to the human world, recruiting the Legendary Pretty Cure, Cure Oasis. The Witch set out to defeat her, but discovered that Cure Oasis was really Aunete.

The two fought to a stalemate, and the Witch retreated, delaying the fight's conclusion until the next day. However, day after day she continued to put off the fight. This continued for years, until one day she forgot what she was delaying. Now, centuries later, she seeks eternal life so that she can delay forever.

Chongire Yaraneeda finds the girls and they transform, with the goal of convincing the Witch to return the Motivation Power. Meanwhile, the Witch finally remembers that she was delaying the fight with Cure Oasis, realizing it is now impossible since Oasis must have died centuries ago. The Cures defeat Chongire Yaraneeda with Marine Beat Dynamic, restoring him to his normal form, but he is quickly followed by the Witch of Delays, who has resumed her role as the Witch of Destruction and decides to finish her battle with the new Pretty Cures.

The Cures try to convince the Witch that she has a kind heart and truly cared for Cure Oasis, but she denies it. Cure Summer sees what appears to be the reflection of Cure Oasis in a mirror, and challenges the Witch of Delays. She argues that what the Witch was truly delaying was not destroying Cure Oasis, but befriending her. The spirit of Cure Oasis appears, and the Witch admits that she wants to be friends. The two dissolve into bubbles and disappear.

However, Butler is not willing to give up, and transforms himself into a giant Yaraneeda, stealing Motivation Power from Chongire, Numeri and Elda. It is not quite enough to fill the Fool's Casket, and he intends to take the final amount from the five Cures. Blasting them with a swirling fire, the Cures are knocked unconscious and de-transform.
