Full Bloom! Intensive Practice! The Hanamichi Town Festival! (満開！特訓！はなみちタウンフェス！ Mankai! Tokkun! Hanamichi Taun Fesu!)? is the 16th episode of Kimi to Idol Pretty Cure♪ and is the 1034th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Idol Pretty Cure is invited to appear at the Hanamichi Town Festival. Uta and the others want to make the event a success, so they ask Tanaka to help them make an intensive practice regimen.
Major Events
- The Cures have a training camp to prepare for their performance at the Hanamichi Town Festival.
- Zakkuri has a cold, so Cutty is forced to attack the Cures again. There, he ultimately breaks down, gives up on fighting the Cures, and has his Kirakira taken, turned into Cuttinda by Darkine.
- During the battle, the Cures are unable to purify Cutty and Purirun intervenes, but to no avail. For that reason and feeling helpless, Purirun decides to return to KirakiLand.
- It's revealed that the Heart Kirari Lock can grant any wish.
Synopsis
Purirun and Kyutarou are helping Uta clean up at Cafe Glitter. Uta thanks them for their help. Meanwhile, in Uta's room, Meroron researches about the Heart Kirari Lock, which lays within the box. Meroron wonders if she'll be able to have eternal love. Just then, Kokoro barges into the cafe, telling Uta about their recent performance, Trio Dreams, going viral online. Nana accompanies her. Just then, Purirun's hair turns frizzy once again as punishment for uploading the performance, which Uta isn't surprised about. However, she and her friends are happy to receive positive comments.
Just then, Tanaka received a request for the Idol Pretty Cure to perform at the Hanamichi Town Festival, much to the girls' shock. They'll be setting up a live concert. However, Tanaka will turn down the offer if that's what the girls want, but they are more than willing to accept it. Purirun is excited for the girls, dancing with Uta about it. Nana tells Purirun what the Hanamichi Town Festival is, to which the fairy is more than willing to root them on. However, Uta goes beyond in including her as a member of the Idol Pretty Cure. The fairy is speechless as Nana and Kokoro agree. Purirun will make sure their performance is a success, and thus, the girls are determined to do intensive training, begging Tanaka to allow this until he gives in to their pleads.
At the beach, Tanaka blows a whistle, signaling the girls and Purirun to do basic strength training as they run with their bodies tied to tires. Purirun is an exception, as she's dragging Meroron instead. She and the girls proceed to do crowd-pleasing moves, which Meroron adores while supporting them with Tanaka and Kyutarou under the shade. The girls then do sit-ups, running, and singing lessons. At sunset, they're exhausted. Tanaka decides that's enough training for one day. Purirun is fast asleep beside Kyutarou. Watching her lean against the dog, Tanaka is certain Purirun is very happy.
At nighttime, in Glitter Cafe, Uta hears strange sounds, briefly freaking out until she finds Purirun practicing crowd-pleasing moves using the PreToy Cameras and taking selfies. In her room, at the balcony, Uta listens to Purirun as she shows several photos of the girls from the past. Uta feels the same way as Purirun in regards to how so much has happened to them. She whispers her name before they ultimately decide to take a selfie together, once Purirun reaches for the stars, the two giggling. The next day, the girls are practicing singing and dancing. Purirun warms herself up, until she and Meroron are given presents from Uta - a pair of spoons with lime and pastel pink ribbons for them respectively so they can sing with the girls. Meroron declines this idea, still sticking close to Purirun. The girls are ready to begin.
Meanwhile, in Team Chokkiri's hideout, Chokkirine overhears Cutty talking to himself about the Idol Pretty Cure. She doesn't allow him to relax, and forces him to attack as Zakkuri is sick with a cold. There, Cutty walks down a path in the woods, thinking about what'll happen if he summons a Kurayaminda. He figures Idol would be upset, but shakes the thought off. Just then, Cutty notices an abundance of Kirakira coming from the Pretty Cure practicing for the festival. He eavesdrops behind a bush. He is speechless from their efforts, and thus has a mental breakdown at the park. He refuses to fight them anymore. As a result, his own shadow appears before him, forming Darkine, whose eyes open. She tries to take his Kirakira, to which Cutty attempts to resist, but his Kirakira is so bright that he ultimately fails to do so. Darlome turns him into a special kind of monster, Cuttinda.
Purirun senses this and the Cures rush to the scene. Trees are being sliced apart, and Idol discovers Cuttinda. The girls dodge the tree, where Kyun-Kyun skids to a stop in an attempt to attack Cuttinda. She dodges him with a huge crater left behind from Cuttinda. Purirun tells the girls Cutty is trapped inside, much to their shock. Cuttinda runs towards the Cures, breaking Wink's barrier when she summons it, sending her flying towards the ground. Purirun roots them on, but Idol ends up being slammed into Kyun-Kyun by Cuttinda. The fairies gasp, with Meroron hiding behind Purirun. Idol screams at the top of her lungs, punching Cuttinda repeatedly, but he ultimately wins her over with a huge strike, leaving a cloud of smoke from the impact.
Idol hits the ground, the monster approaching her. Purirun, horrified, declares she's also a member of Idol Pretty Cure and flies into the battle, only to be ultimately hit by Cuttinda. Idol is infuriated at the sight of this, thus she and the girls quickly get up, trying to purify Cuttinda with High Emotion, but to no avail as the darkness completely takes over Cutty. Cuttinda attempts to hit the Cures, roaring in agony. Idol, keeping her stance, understands his pain. Cutty doesn't want to fight anymore, but it's to no avail, as he's forced to fire a laser, casting the world in a pink glow. Just then, a sparkle of Kirakira appears before Cutty, allowing him to resist attacking and render his laser null. The girls are shocked as the monster flies away from the battle.
At sunset, everything is restored. Purirun slowly opens her eyes, finding Meroron and Uta teary-eyed and worried for her. They kneel before her, same for Nana and Kokoro. Uta thinks they can figure out a way to save Cutty, her friends agreeing. At nighttime, Meroron learns the real Heart Kirari Lock is an item that can grant any wish. Just then, she sees Purirun open the window, who feels hopeless and wants to go back to KirakiLand. Meroron's eye widens in surprise as Uta searches for Purirun in her sleep. In the empty room lies her and Purirun's selfie.
