Synopsis

Uta and Purirun are fast asleep. Meroron, annoyed, tries to push Uta away, only to be startled by Uta's alarm. Purirun wakes Uta up by cheering with her KirakiLight. Meroron reluctantly joins in. Uta suddenly sits up, wide awake. She goes to school with Nana and Kokoro, until they find Wakaba hiding in a bush. In the distance, there are girls swooning over Shota, the star of the volleyball team and a popular figure at school. Kokoro and Nana gush over Wakaba having a crush on him while Uta is baffled.

During class, Fujimi-sensei talks about the ball-game tournament. Uta is excited and explains what it is to Purirun. Once the students get into groups, Nana goes over the rules. Mikoto mentions Shota while Ruka teases Wakaba for blushing. After school, at Cafe Glitter, Uta asks Nana and Kokoro if they've ever been in love. They haven't, to which Uta shows Ema's manga, The Two Worlds And The Twinkle Heart, specifically a confession scene from it. Kaito overhears them gushing. Purirun is fast asleep. Just then, Tanaka tells Uta to help as the cafe is getting busy. Uta obliges, offering tea to Kaito. Kaito brings up a topic about love, much to Uta's embarrassment before she decides to ask if he's been in love too. She realizes and freaks out. she shyly looks back at Kaito as he doesn't say a thing - all but his radiance blinding her.

The next day, the students practice volleyball. The ball rolls away, stopping at Shoto's feet. Wakaba gasps and Shoto tosses the ball back to her. He wishes her good luck before leaving as more girls swoon over him. Wakaba can't take her eyes off of him, as Ruka and Mikoto act intuitively around her. She admits she loved Shoto for a long time, much to Uta and Nana's shock. Wakaba wants to tell Shota how she feels, but is scared he'll reject her due to his popularity. Nana holds Wakaba's hands and wants to give her courage, so she and her teammates give her suggestions. They cheer her on. Meanwhile, at Team Chokkiri's hideout, a bullseye hits the dartboard. Chokkirine is disappointed they lost, scolding Zakkuri for this. Zakkuri says that he did well at first, only for Cutty to come in and take the opportunity to attack this time. Zakkuri and Chokkirine are speechless.

The next day, the tournament begins. Everyone waves their KirakiLights. Shota scores a point for his team, which Wakaba admires. Some students play basketball and dodgeball. They then play volleyball, with Uta and Nana on one team, and Kokoro on the other. Purirun cheers for Uta and Kokoro. Kokoro concentrates while Uta barely manages to hit the ball, so Wakaba helps her score a point. Kokoro's team loses and she hopes Uta and Nana's team does well in the finals. They face the Year 3 Class A team. Kokoro thinks this match may be tough, while Meroron looks at Purirun, still waving her KirakiLight.

Uta and Nana's team starts off rough, allowing the other team to score a point when the ball hits the ground. Kokoro claims the game is just getting started. Nana focuses while Uta passes the ball to Wakaba. Wakaba rushes towards it, jumps before the net, and scores a point. Purirun blinks, sensing everyone's Kirakira, while Meroron is still confused. Wakaba swoops in to hit the ball, but Year 3 Class A, working together, performs a countermeasure, causing Uta to be injured in the face. Wakaba quickly hits the ball back over the net, allowing her team to score again. Unfortunately, they fail to shoot the ball next round since they're turning exhausted. Everyone is determined to win, so they do their best. Uta dives in for the ball, only to hit the ground. Wakaba gets the ball and scores once again.

Unfortunately, when Wakaba calls out to Uta, it's revealed Uta hurt her wrist. Nana rushes to her aid, but Uta tries to convince everyone that she is fine. Her team doesn't want her pushing herself too hard. Uta is told to switch out with someone else, and is thanked by Wakaba for playing so well. She promises to win. Kokoro takes Uta to the nurse's office, and when they come back, the teams tie. Kokoro and Uta recieve KirakiLights to root the teams on. Meroron is mesmerized by the cheering. Just then, Cutty appears, senses Wakaba's Kirakira, and turns her into a Kurayaminda based on a volleyball. Everyone is shocked and quickly evacuated by Fujimi-sensei. The girls quickly transform.

At first, when Idol is ready to fight, her wrist hurts. Kyun-Kyun and Wink tell her not to push herself too hard again. Idol dodges the Kurayaminda's attack as Purirun roots her on, though she's confused Meroron isn't doing the same. To Meroron, it didn't matter, but Purirun proves otherwise. Idol tries to stop the monster, but with her wrist too sore, she hits the balcony and is about to be finished. Purirun shouts Idol's name, allowing her KirakiLight to shine and blind the Kurayaminda. Idol retaliates, kicking the monster. Meroron is stunned. Purirun then cheers for Wink, as she runs from the Kurayaminda and pushes it with her barrier. Cutty anticipates this. Meroron is swayed by Purirun to cheer Kyun-Kyun in unison, which motivates Kyun-Kyun to shoot the Kurayaminda with her lasers. The girls then purify it with High Emotion, saving Wakaba. Purirun collects the fuchsia Pretty Ribbon, drawing a heart to please the crowd. Everything goes back to normal as Uta and Nana's team is about to win. Uta cheers her on, allowing Wakaba to score the final point. Everyone's happy, especially Kokoro and Purirun. Meroron contemplates. Cutty wonders if his cheers could reach others too until he's spotted by a male student. He panics, trying to brush the statement off.

At sunset, Wakaba goes to confess to Shota. She awaits a response, and when he does, Wakaba's eyes widen. She comes back to her friends, revealing he turned her down. Everyone's sorry for her, but she's glad she told him how she felt. Her friends praise her for being so brave until another student, Fujino, calls out to her. He admires her, with her blushing in response. Uta and Nana realize Wakaba has found her next love, much to everyone's shock.
