Synopsis
Anna, Mikuru, and Jett are helping prepare for an exhibition by the glass artist, Shindou Misako at the Hosho Art Museum. The main attraction is a glass slipper titled "Lost At Midnight", but a commotion ensues when a large number of glass slippers fly out of a box being transported on a cart. The slippers that fly out are fakes made of resin, and the real "Lost At Midnight" disappears during the commotion.
Suspecting the work of a Phantom Thief, Anna and Mikuru investigate outside the museum in search of clues, when they encounter the famous detectives Mouri Kogoro, Mouri Ran, and Edogawa Conan, who are visiting Makoto Mirai City. After hearing the story, Conan wonders how the culprit distinguished between the real and fake slipper in such a short time. This sparks an idea in Anna. She tells Mikuru and the other investigators that the culprit is someone who wasn't wearing gloves to distinguish between glass and resin.
Believing that Chinami, the museum owner, is the culprit, Anna and Mikuru return to the CUREtto Detective Agency. At the office were Misako, Chinami, and Jett, who were working on exhibition preparations. Anna and Mikuru tell them that Chinami is the culprit, but even after searching Jett's backpack, where they thought the artwork was hidden, they couldn't find "Lost At Midnight". Just then, Conan and the others arrived at the office, guided by the business card. Anna and the others suspected the fish bowl is being used for the exhibition, but they couldn't figure out where "Lost At Midnight" was hidden, making the mystery difficult to solve.
When Conan tries to put Kogoro to sleep with his tranquilizer dart to help solve the case, the dart hits Anna, and Conan, as "Sleeping Anna", ended up explaining what really happened. The culprit had hidden "Lost At Midnight" in a fish bowl made from a liquid mixture of ethanol and benzyl alcohol, matching the refractive index of the transparent glass. When Mikuru retrieves "Lost At Midnight" from the fish bowl, Chinami confesses to being the culprit, and Nijee, who had been in disguise, reveals his true identity.
Anna, Mikuru, and Conan chase after Nijee, who stole the "Lost At Midnight" using a smoke bomb. Conan's power-enhancing shoes corner him, but Nijee transforms the "Lost At Midnight" into an Hanninda. Answer and Mystique struggle against the swift Hanninda, but they create a chance by using the Pre-Kit Light to generate a ball and then uses a Twin Shot attack to stun it. They can quickly purify the Hanninda with Flying Spectrum. The "Lost At Midnight" is safely returned to Misako, and the real Chinami also arrives. Anna thanks Conan, and everyone rejoices at the resolution of the case.

Trivia
- The Cures collect a blue Makoto Jewel at the end of the battle.
- Characters from Detective Conan make a cameo appearance in this episode. Cure Answer would also go on to make a cameo appearance in the Detective Conan episode that aired on June 6th, 2026.
- The tranquilizer dart Conan accidentally uses on Anna is something Conan uses often in his own show on Kogoro, hence Sleeping Kogoro.
- According to Aramaki Masaya, the producer representing Toei Animation on Meitantei Pretty Cure!, he noted how, in Detective Conan, the series starts with such a drastic change in the main character's body shrinking. He wanted to replicate such a shock in Pretty Cure, which is why the first episode has Anna travel back in time.[1]
- Producer Aramaki noted how coming up with the title for this episode took about a month, with how they wanted to include a "clever twist" where the kanji could be read in a different way than the usual intended reading, specifically an English word. Series director Kawasaki Kouji added how, for the word "共演" (kyouen)?, they considered "duet" and "collaboration" before finally settling on "assemble."
- When asked if there were any ideas they wanted to try exploring in the future, Aramaki stated his interest in having the Pretty Cure face off against Kaito Kid from Detective Conan, and on a similar note, since Cure Arcana Shadow is also a phantom thief herself, having Conan face off against her. Series director Yamamoto Yasuichiro of Detective Conan expressed interest in having the other Pretty Cure appear in his show, as difficult to the narrative as that seems. Producer Todo Masataka, also from Detective Conan, added how it would be difficult to do such a concept in a single episode, so it would have to be a two-part story so that each character is properly developed. Finally, Director Kawasaki added that on the Pretty Cure side, they wanted to feature more detectives.[2]
- The scripts for the collab episodes were finished before the first episode of Meitantei Pretty Cure! even aired. While the Detective Conan staff struggled, not being able to see any actual episodes of this season, the Pretty Cure staff were able to reference three decades worth of Detective Conan episodes for their part of the collaboration.
- Producer Aramaki expressed his interest in including the Detective Conan characters Haibara Ai and Higo Ryusuke in this episode. However, specifically in the case of Higo, who in Detective Conan is a soccer player, they had to give up on the idea as his series of origin was already planning a collab episode with J.League.[3]
- The pair of eyecatches used for this episode are unique from the rest of the season, being a homage to the usual door-closing and door-opening eyecatches used in Detective Conan.
- The shadowy figure representing the unidentified culprit was a stylistic choice borrowed from Detective Conan.
- This is the first episode since the second where Luluka and Mashutan do not appear nor are even mentioned.
- In the sponsor segment following the end of the episode, one of the sponsors is listed as "Kaito Kid," a character from Detective Conan.
- Kaito Kid would appear in the Detective Conan side of the crossover.
