Synopsis

At Cafe Glitter, Oto serves a coffee float to the man that Uta and Nana met. While he drinks it, the girls observe from upstairs. Uta doesn't know what they should do. Uta's family watches and admires the performance of the Idol Pretty Cure, which are skyrocketing in views as Uta observes Nana's phone. Nana wonders if it's because Tanaka saw their videos. Just as she sees a request on her phone, the mysterious man comes upstairs. Uta hides Purirun, but the man offers them a business card and says he wants to be their manager, much to their shock.

The Cures decide they'll try and contact Pikarine for answers regarding who the man is. Purirun uses her ribbon to call Pikarine. Pikarine introduces herself with a blinding radiance to Nana, and thanks her for joining the Idol Pretty Cure. Uta asks who the man is, as he is revealed to be called Tanaka, a resident from KirakiLand, also known as Tanakhan. He proves his fairy identity by scratching Purirun's neck.

Tanaka and the girls proceed to walk to the KirakiLand Branch Office. Along the way, Tanakhan says he used to live behind Purirun in KirakiLand and he uses his human form while in Hanamichi Town. The girls are surprised especially once they arrive to the branch office. They find the place fancy and cute. Inside, they learn that KirakiLand and Hanamichi Town had a sister city relationship for a long time and the former's incidents happened while Tanaka was in the latter location. Tanaka was ordered to become the Idol Pretty Cure's manager, and thus states that they will not be working as typical idols. Therefore, they must avoid making public appearances.

Unfortunately, this is disrupted by Nana showing a request to Tanaka, which is a job offer for the Idol Pretty Cure. The request wants Idol and Wink to appear in Pretty Holic's new make-up campaign, which is a very popular cosmetics brand. Nana wants to take this opportunity as a Pretty Cure, but Tanaka isn't sure, so Purirun latches onto his face in order to get him to accept the offer. He finally agrees.

At Pretty Holic, it’s getting ready for its grand opening. Tanaka introduces himself and shakes hands with Mori Koharu, the publicity manager. She learns Uta and Nana are “managers in training”, but this is merely an excuse to avoid suspicion of them being the Idol Pretty Cure. Koharu explains that for their advertisement, they want the lipsticks to appear in the new spring lipstick campaign for Pretty Store. Uta gets to try a heart-shaped lipstick and finds it "Kirakilala♪".

Koharu realizes that’s the slogan for the campaign, as they’re thinking of the phrase “Pretty Up makes me feel Kirakilala♪”. Tanaka has no problem with this and accepts. Koharu is overjoyed and shakes his hand. Koharu admits she wanted to do this ever since she admired Pretty Holic as a child. On the other hand, Purirun senses her Kirakira. Koharu apologizes for talking so much, as she realizes the shoot is tomorrow. The girls are shocked by the tight schedule but accept. Meanwhile, at Team Chokkiri's hideout, Chokkirine orders Cutty and Zakkuri to take down the Idol Pretty Cure. As they decide, Zakkuri is chosen.

Near the sunset, Kyutarou stands beside Uta, who sings and takes a picture with Purirun. They mind their own business until Uta spots Kaito. They sit at a bench together and Purirun tells Uta to ask Kaito about his idol work. Kaito glances over at Uta and the latter learns that Kaito's first job was a cosmetics ad. Uta is intrigued until she is dragged away by Kyutarou, who is barking at another dog.

The next day, Uta and Nana prepare for the campaign. Uta takes out the Pretty Up Lip, much to Nana’s dismay. Uta corrects herself so she and Nana can transform. Idol and Wink make their way into Pretty Holic. Koharu walks up to them and is excited to do the shoot. Purirun is held by Idol, deemed their “mascot”. Koharu wants Purirun to be in the ad, much to the Cures’ excitement. The Cures are then taken by a director to do the shoot. Tanaka watches with little to no emotion.

Unfortunately, problems rise when Idol is told to put the lipstick on, then say the line, only to smudge her lips, while Wink is nervous and too close to the camera. Tanaka is disbelieved. Purirun's mouth is kept sealed tight by Idol, who stammers until the fairy falls out of her grasp, unable to breathe. Koharu gives her back to Idol. Idol apologizes and explains how nervous they are. Koharu has an idea where they can look at her rather than the camera. The two feel more confident as a result. The set is changed and Tanaka is relieved. Afterwards, Koharu takes a phone call outside and confirms the Cures are both "Kirakilala♪". Just then, Zakkuri appears. turning her into a Makkuranda based on a studio camera.

Purirun feels a shudder and the Cures witness the monster while civilians run away, learning Koharu is trapped. Tanaka recognizes Zakkuri, who stands next to the Makkuranda and tells it to chop the Cures up. The Makkuranda shoots a beam, which Wink blocks with her barrier. Purirun advises Tanaka to hide. The Cures lure the Makkuranda to a different location and are nearly hit by it as a crater is left in the ground. Zakkuri praises the Makkuranda and it throws SD cards. The Cures don't hesitate to punch the Makkuranda, but it blocks their attack and hits them with a beam, causing them to hit the ground. Zakkuri cackles, but Wink is determined to protect Koharu and her job. Using her barrier once more, she allows Idol to use her Idol Fist Touch against the Makkuranda, and then purify it with Wink Crescendo.

With Koharu saved, a teal Kirarun Ribbon appears. Purirun wears it to perform a crowd-pleasing move. Zakkuri, finding Wink to be dazzling, retreats. The damage is reverted. Tanaka is amazed by the Idol Pretty Cure. Koharu wakes up, safe under the very eyes of the Cures. They're ready to do the shoot. With that, Pretty Holic is officially open. The advertisement is shown on a big screen as Koharu announces this. A long line awaits the store. Nana is a little embarrassed to see this, but Purirun reassures her. Just then, Kaito appears behind the girls. Uta asks Kaito what was most important about his first job, to which he replies that he wanted to make the people he worked with smile. The girls giggle.

The next day, at Glitter Cafe, Uta and Nana are shocked to learn that Tanaka is here. He is now a part timer according to Oto. Tanaka wanted to see the Idol Pretty Cure and their "Kirakilala♪" up close to further support them. Purirun hugs him, full of emotion. On one last hand, Kokoro sees an advertisement with the Idol Pretty Cure and says her heart is going Kyun–Kyun.
