Star Detectives VS Phantom Thieves (名探偵VS怪盗 Meitantei VS Kaitō)? is the 13th episode of Meitantei Pretty Cure! and is the 1080th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Anna and Mikuru give chase to Nijee fleeing after he stole a robot doll. In the midst of their confrontation with a Hanninda, Luluka suddenly appears with an urgent announcement: "Maestro Usonoir is making his move".

Synopsis
Anna and Mikuru are searching for a robot doll that a little boy cherished at a family restaurant in the shopping district. When they tell a delivery driver who happens to be in the restaurant that the culprit is him, Nijee, who was disguised as the driver, reveals his true identity and flees the restaurant. Nijee transforms the robot doll into a Hanninda, and Anna and Mikuru transform to confront him, but then Luluka and Mashutan appear.
Mashutan tells Nijee that Usonoir is on his way, and Nijee panics, fearing that the world might be destroyed. Arcana Shadow also joins the fight, cornering Answer and Mystique, but they manage to purify the Hanninda. However, at that moment, the dimensional field rifts open, and Usonoir, the boss of the Phantom Thieves' Guild, appears.
As Usonoir displays overwhelming power, it is revealed that the Tome of Mirages he possesses contains all the information about what will happen next, that the Makoto Jewels are the manifestation of the true feelings of fairies and people, and that the Phantom Thieves attempted to obtain the giant Makoto Jewel but were thwarted by the CUREtto Detective Agency, and are now searching for the scattered fragments. Usonoir's goal was to use the power of the Makoto Jewel to cover the world in lies and manipulate it as he pleases, but Pochitan possesses the power to move the fragments of the Makoto Jewels.
Answer and Mystique tries to protect Pochitan, but they are no match for Usonoir. However, just when all hope seems lost, Arcana Shadow intercepts Usonoir's attack. Furthermore, following the prophecy in the Tome of Mirages, Usonoir departs.
Back at the agency, Anna and Mikuru recall the prophecy Usonoir had uttered as he left: "In July of 1999, who holds the stone of truth shall become a great king. And the world will be enveloped in the shadow of lies". They renew their resolve to protect the Makoto Jewel. Meanwhile, Pochitan is able to call Anna, Mikuru, and Jett-senpai by their names, which surprises them.
