The Secret Of Cure Arcana Shadow (キュアアルカナ・シャドウの秘密 Kyua Arukana Shadō no Himitsu)? is the 12th episode of Meitantei Pretty Cure! and is the 1079th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Anna and Mikuru head out to gather information about Cure Arcana Shadow. Meanwhile, Luluka disguises herself as a shop clerk and infiltrates a CD shop where the owner of the friendship bracelet containing the Makoto Jewel is located.

Synopsis
Anna and Mikuru learn from Jett-senpai that he's inquired the CUREtto Detective Agency in London about Cure Arcana Shadow. However, hearing that a response will take time, they decide to gather information themselves.
Meanwhile, Luluka is summoned by Goemon and visits a CD shop. Her target is the Makoto Jewel residing in a wish bracelet worn by a customer named Masami, but if the bracelet breaks, the Makoto Jewel disappears along with the feelings it holds. Luluka tells Goemon she has an idea and, in exchange for a free ice cream, disguises herself as a shop clerk and sneaks into the store.
As Luluka observes the situation, Anna and Mikuru arrive. Mikuru calls out to Masami, who confesses that she's put her unrequited love wish into the wish bracelet. Just then, her crush appears, and Anna tells Masami this is her chance to talk to him, but the bracelet breaks. Feeling that her wish might come true, Manami musters her courage and speaks to the man, but he was waiting for his girlfriend. Masami's shoulders slump, and she is about to throw away the wish bracelet, when Luluka tells her that the bracelet has always been there for her. This give Masami the strength to move on, and leaves the shop. Luluka also leaves the shop and meets up with Goemon in an alley, but Anna and Mikuru catch up with them after hearing that there are no female shop clerks in this shop.
As Anna and Mikuru transform, Luluka also transforms into Cure Arcana Shadow, and the battle begins. When Jett-senpai asks Arcana Shadow if she helped him and Pochitan before, Arcana Shadow reveals that she is only interested in Pochitan's power, but at that moment, Goemon, who had stolen the wish bracelet, unleashes a Hanninda.
Answer and Mystique quickly purify Hanninda and retrieve the wish bracelet, but Arcana Shadow tells them that the agency used to be her's, and leaves. When Anna and Mikuru return to the agency, they think about Arcana Shadow and ponder her intentions.
