Legend From A Certain Island (とある島の伝説 Toaru Shima no Densetsu)? is the 20th episode of Meitantei Pretty Cure! and is the 1087th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
A letter arrives at the CUREtto Detective Agency pleading for help, saying "the island might disappear", so Anna and Mikuru arrive on the isolated island by boat. In order to solve the case, they take on the secret of the island's traditional song...

Synopsis
A letter arrives pleading for help, saying, "The island might disappear if things continue like this!". Anna and Mikuru board a boat and head to an island called Jieito Island. Upon arrival, the girls learn from the Mayor that there's a legend that says, "when a fairy appears, the island will disappear". The incidents that have occurred in the past few days mirror the lyrics of an old island folktale, which goes, "when the manju buns disappeared, the hands of the clock began to move, and then the island disappeared".
Trying to unravel the secret of the folktale, Anna and Mikuru use a Pre-Kit Gummy to get information from a turtle that has lived on the island for over 100 years, but it tells them that nothing has changed except that the island's name has changed from "Manju Island" to "Jieito Island". Meanwhile, an incident occurs at the Mayor's shed where the manju that his grand-daughters were supposed to have for a snack have gone missing.
From the small footprints and handprints left in the storehouse, Anna and Mikuru deduced that the culprit behind the pranks was Aki, the Mayor's grand-daughter. Aki had been playing pranks, mimicking the folktale all because she desperately wanted to fix Koharu's broken watch.
After learning the truth, Anna and Mikuru gently reassure Aki, by explaining that it's not a lie that fairies exist. Suddenly, Nijee appears and steals the watch containing the Makoto Jewel. Anna and Mikuru transform and confront the watch-shaped Hanninda that Nijee had summoned. Answer uses some fallen seaweed to immobilize the Hanninda, successfully purifying it.
Just as Anna and Mikuru retrieve the watch, Jett-senpai arrives on the island in his homemade boat. After Jett-senpai quickly repairs the watch, Anna and Mikuru realize that Jieito Island resembled Jett's name, and learn that the fairy who had appeared on the island before was Jett-senpai. As Anna, Mikuru, and Jett-senpai are about to leave the island, seen off by Aki and Koharu, Jett-senpai is startled by a seagull and transforms back into a fairy. With Anna and Mikuru winking and shushing them, Aki and Koharu smile, promising to keep the secret that "fairies really do exist" to themselves.
