Operation: Make Sissy Fall In Love Mero~! (ねえたまメロメロ大作戦メロ～！ Nētama Meromero Daisakusen Mero~!)? is the 15th episode of Kimi to Idol Pretty Cure♪ and is the 1033rd episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
Meroron is jealous of Purirun's relationship with Uta, so Uta and the others, who also want to be closer with Meroron, encourage Purirun to spend more time with Meroron. Purirun invites Meroron to dress in matching outfits and go on a date.
Major Events
- Purirun and Meroron go on a date. There, it's revealed how Meroron grew closer towards Purirun during KirakiLand's attack. However, they become trapped in a chest during the battle, and are ultimately freed.
- Meroron starts to open up to the Idol Pretty Cure.
- The Heart Kirari Lock is introduced for the first time, and it's revealed that Meroron is in posession of it.
- Zakkuri discovers that Cutty is a huge fan of the Idol Pretty Cure.
Synopsis
Uta wakes up, finding that Purirun isn't beside her in her bed, but rather, trapped beneath a sleeping Meroron, tangled in her ears. Uta picks her up and makes sure she's okay. Meroron wants Purirun to sleep only with her, acting poetic about it until Uta and Purirun rest in Uta's bed. Meroron turns angry, claiming Uta is a Sissy Thief and that she can't have Purirun all to herself. She then declares she wants to go on a date with Purirun.
While Tanaka is drying dishes, Meroron explains she wants to make Purirun fall in love with her. Nana and Kokoro eavesdrop, the former gushing at the sight of this. Uta then serves the fairies a cream soda. Meroron stares at it then back at Uta, who wants to know if she likes the cream soda. Purirun asks why Uta and the others can't join them, to which Meroron replies she wants her to look at her. Purirun and Uta both stare at her only for Meroron to spin against Uta, telling her to go away.
This is made worse when Uta interrupts them having their cream sodas, who is curious about their date. Nana's also interested, but Meroron refuses to respond. Uta proceeds to imitate Purirun, further angering Meroron to the point she faceplants herself into a cushion. Uta is upset that she got yelled at again, so Nana suggests they try and learn about Meroron. Just then, they get a call from Pikarine. Once they respond to her, Pikarine expresses relief that they found Meroron, and explains how she came to Hanamichi Town alone. Tanaka walks into the conversation and learns about the fairy, who is considered a "special child" according to Pikarine. In response, Nana recites a poem Meroron said earlier, thinking it has meaning to it. Kokoro compares Meroron's poems to how Uta sings.
Just then, Purirun reveals that Meroron used to read books alone in a cave. She tried telling her about a newborn fairy in the kingdom, but Meroron was completely focused on her book, and made it clear that darkness and light could not mix. Pikarine explains Meroron can't Kirakira like others, which Uta repeats to herself. Everyone looks at Purirun in theory that she represents the light, which she is oblivious to. Kokoro claims they have to support Meroron, which gives Purirun an idea; she lends an outfit to Meroron based on Cure Idol, where they can match for their date. Once Meroron wears it, Nana takes multiple photos of the fairies, the girls gushing over Meroron's outfit. Meroron is shocked from this until she decides to sit at the table, allowing Uta to style her hair. Afterwards, Nana suggests the fairies use the Heart Tree as a date spot. It's where couples and friends tell each other their most precious thing, and there, the Heart Lock is a symbol of pledging eternal love. Meroron is ambitious towards this idea while Purirun remains clueless.
Meanwhile, at Team Chokkiri's hideout, Cutty is watching and dancing to the Idol Pretty Cure's performance, waving his KirakiLight around. Just then, Zakkuri steps in, causing Cutty to freeze in place and hide a photo. Zakkuri accuses Cutty of falling in love with the Cures, taking him by surprise. Cutty tries to explain, much to Zakkuri's shock and apathy. He makes it clear that they're villains, and thus, Cutty heads out to steal some Kirakira.
The fairies have lunch at the Heart Tree. Purirun wants octopus sausages, which Meroron promises to cook sometime. While Nana and Kokoro are nervous on Meroron's behalf, Meroron reflects on the time Purirun comforted her during KirakiLand's destruction. She flew into a cave, thinking she was truly alone, until Purirun hugged and promised her that she could look upon her as an "older sister" figure. Meroron's heart skipped a beat since then, and now, she truly feels like she has someone to be there for her. Meanwhile, Cutty appears in Hanamichi Town, finding a couple, Jou and Kii, pledging their love with the Heart Locks. As they lock the padlock, Cutty is disgusted, turning them into a Kurayaminda.
Purirun senses this and the girls rush to the scene, much to Meroron's surprise. They transform, much to Cutty's joy as he maintains his composure. The Cures dodge the monster's key projectiles, fighting it while Meroron stops for a minute, staring at a sign depicting a heart-shaped lock, the Heart Kirari Lock. Purirun cheers the Cures on, much to Cutty's envy. He decides to capture her and Meroron inside a treasure chest, locking it. Idol, worried, rushes forth, working with Kyun-Kyun to rescue the fairies.
Meroron and Purirun shout in surprise, allowing Wink to catch the chest. The Cures then appear before Cutty, with Idol telling him to lend the key. Cutty is too shocked to respond and complies, as Idol wins him over, thanking him. The fairies are freed and Purirun flies into Idol's arms, with both overjoyed. Meroron thanks her before the Cures purify the Kurayaminda with High Emotion, saving the couple. A mint Kirarun Ribbon appears and Purirun uses it to please the crowd. Cutty claims Idol's smile was too bright before retreating.
Afterwards, the fairies look at the Cures. Purirun is transfixed on them, just like Meroron, and thanks her for the date. Meroron contemplates this before she ultimately decides to kiss Purirun at the cheek. Purirun is shocked while the others react in surprise. Near the end of the day, while Purirun is sleeping, Meroron takes a chest out containing the Heart Kirari Lock inside. She thinks about it until Purirun rolls towards Uta's bed, cuddling with her. Uta kisses Purirun's head in her sleep. Meroron's eye twitches before she ultimately turns angry at the sight of this.
