Exciting! Our First Client! (ドキドキ！初めての依頼！, Dokidoki! Hajimete no Irai!)^? is the 4^th episode of Meitantei Pretty Cure! and is the 1071^st episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.

Summary

The CUREtto Detective Agency receives its first client. Anna and Mikuru are searching for a bag that was mistaken for someone else's in front of the station, when Goemon from the Phantom Thieves' Guild shows up.

Synopsis

A student named Komatsuzaki Junichi rushes into the CUREtto Detective Agency, which was experiencing a lack of clients. Junichi, an aspiring manga artist, has come seeking help because the contents of his bag have mysteriously changed to vegetables and an apron, and the manga manuscript that was originally inside is gone.

Based on Junichi's story, Anna and Mikuru deduce that his bag might have been swapped with someone's when they bumped into each other in front of the train station. They learn that a woman with the same bag as Junichi was at the scene, and they begin searching for her. Just then, Goemon from the Phantom Thieves' Guild appears and steals the bag.

Using Jett's invention, the Pre-Kit Light, Anna and Mikuru catch up to Goemon. Goemon then realizes that the contents of the bag aren't the manuscript he was after, and a race begins to see who can find the manuscript containing the Makoto Jewel first.

Remembering the detective's golden rule, "When you're stuck, start over", Anna and Mikuru return to the train station. After deducing that the stains on the bag and apron were paint, they headed to an art class they had passed by earlier and finally found the woman who had mistakenly taken Junichi's bag. Goemon, who had received a hint from Luluka, also appeared at the class and summoned a Hanninda, but the transformed Answer and Mystique combined their powers to purify it and retrieve the manuscript.

When Anna handed the manuscript to Junichi, who was waiting at the office, she noticed that the pen name "Junjun Komattsu" was written on it. Junjun Komatsu was the name of Anna's favorite manga artist from 2027. Anna and Mikuru are surprised, but enjoy the work of the future popular author.
