Solve The Mystery Of The Painting! (絵の謎を解き明かせ！ E no Nazo wo Tokiakase!)? is the 10th episode of Meitantei Pretty Cure! and is the 1077th episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
Summary
A client arrives at the CUREtto Detective Agency with a request: "I want you to investigate my mother's self-portrait". Anna and the others set out to discover why the client's mother, who was a famous landscape painter, left behind only one single self-portrait.

Synopsis
A request comes to the detective agency to investigate a self-portrait painted by Moe's mother. The client, Saiki Moe, had a mother who was a painter named Christina Pipopovic Fumie, but Moe wants to know why Fumie, who only painted landscapes, left behind only one self-portrait.
While questioning people in town, Anna and Mikuru meet Howa Kurea and head to Patisserie ChuChu. Seeing the macarons Kurea brought out, Moe recounts memories of Fumie sometimes bringing back oddly shaped macarons from overseas. When Anna and Mikuru ask if they were actually homemade macarons, Moe claims she never saw her mother making them. Thinking that they might find a clue if they actually see the painting, Anna and Mikuru head to Moe's apartment.
Using a Pre-Kit Mirror Loupe to examine the painting, they discover that the self-portrait, which was thought to be painted vertically, is actually painted horizontally, depicting Fumie lying on a couch. Seeing this, Moe remembers her mother's gaze as she laid on the couch, just like in the painting, when she was little, and the time they ate macarons together. Suddenly, a mysterious light is absorbed into the painting. It was the moment when Fumie and Moe's memories intertwined, and the Makoto Jewel entered the painting. However, Goemon appears.
Anna and Mikuru run out of the apartment building with the painting in their arms, but they are caught in the park, and the painting is finally stolen. Goemon transforms the painting into a Hanninda, and the two girls transform into Pretty Cure to confront him. The Hanninda turns anything it hits with its beam into a painting, but Answer and Mystique work together to purify it.
Anna and Mikuru return the recovered painting to Moe, and Moe walks home hand-in-hand with her daughter. Watching them go, Anna feels a little lonely, but she is quickly cheered up by Mikuru and Pochitan, and her smile returns.
